The Porsche Panamera [2011]

2011 The Porsche Panamera

A unique feature of the Panamera is its integrated rear spoiler that doesn't normally show up at low speeds. Once the car cruises to around 70 - 90 km/hr, the spoiler opens up from behind to improve the traction. At higher speeds, the spoiler splits into two to become wider that indirectly keeps the car on the road at high speeds. Amazing stability at a high speed course is an important point that Panamera gives.

2011 The Porsche Panamera

Porsche has in recent years been diversifying it's line up of cars to remain competitive in the increasing luxury car market. To that end it has introduced the 2010 Porsche Panamera; it's first four door, four seater luxury sedan. The first difference between the new four door Panamera and the average two door model is that the Panamera is a front engine loaded sports vehicle, while the vast majority of two door models are rear engined. This is a huge difference and puts the Panamera in direct competition with other luxury cars in this class like the Mercedes CLS.

2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost

2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost
Automobiles of Rolls-Royce stature aren’t expected to change capriciously. This smaller sibling to the Phantom has demonstrated genuine Rolls-Royce attributes, this, despite being based on lesser mechanicals

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The 2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost is a four-door, five-seat sedan available in a single trim level. Standard feature highlights include 19-inch wheels, an active air suspension, a sunroof, front and rear parking sensors, keyless ignition/entry, auto-dimming mirrors, automatic wipers, automatic xenon headlights, adaptive cruise control, power-closing rear "coach" doors, leather upholstery and trim, a pair of umbrellas stored within the front doors, heated front and rear seats, 10-way power and massaging front seats, four-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, a navigation system and a 16-speaker sound system with a CD/DVD player, satellite radio, digital music storage, an auxiliary audio jack and an iPod/USB audio interface.

The 2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost is powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 that produces 563 hp and 575 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 13 mpg city/20 mpg highway and 15 mpg combined.

The Ghost comes with stability and traction control, antilock brakes, active front head restraints, front-seat side airbags and side curtain airbags. The Driver's Assistance Systems package adds a lane-departure warning system, automatic high beams, a head-up display and a night-vision camera.

Despite the dizzying array of high-tech luxury features, the Ghost presents a relatively clean dash and console. Unlike tradition (and the Phantom), however, the Ghost can be equipped with adjustable, massaging and ventilated outboard rear seats. Considering the Ghost's size, the trunk's 14-cubic-foot capacity is unacceptably modest.

The 2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost's twin-turbo V12 is exceptionally smooth and silent.
If the great Rolls-Royce Phantom birthed by BMW in 2003, restored the exceptionality of the mark, the Holy 2011 brings this concept to a more human scale. The Ghost truncates one of the great names of past Rolls-Royce, the Silver Ghost, a name that joins the full range of classic 40/50, reliable and smoothed produced from 1906 to 1926. These are cars that prompted the coach to call and Rolls-Royce the best car in the world. ” The Ghost will bring this legacy to carry on the category of luxury sedans, the hierarchy reorganization segment dominated by the Bentley Continental Flying Spur, Mercedes S Class and BMW 7 Series. Because Rolls is now under the leadership of BMW, and because using common parts is essential for saving a manufacturer of scale (but mostly because Rolls-Royce admitted that shares Ghost 20 per cent oneself with the BMW 7 Series, more specifically, the V-12-powered 760Li), it is tempting to think that the new car is a BMW just migrated a 9-series with a metal cover available. The Rolls require sitting most majestic, larger diameter tires, and the coach-style doors, which required more changes. The diameter tires New global mean new director and kinematics of the suspension, and raised seating position and a center-opening doors meant platform reengineering donors for crash safety.

Chief Designer Ian Cameron has delivered a form that is instantly recognizable as a Rolls-Royce, although the car was not the Parthenon traditional grille type. Its most smooth chrome radiator vaned property complies with trimmer proportions compared to the Phantom of the car. In the mainland by a tremendously powerful position, the Ghost has fast-pillars and rake body that borders around the wheels. Inside are the Rolls Royce traditional touches, like frosted white dials, chrome Eyeball vents, organ-stop Wind draw and the violin-key switches. (Leather is not as sweet as the Phantom, because of different tanning process that focuses on sustainability in flexibility.) Entry and exit are still better than most big car with rear doors that open to 83 degrees (there’s even umbrellas in the front doors).

BMW is an amazing interpreter of English cars. BMW has Rolls-Royce need to have a worrying combination of silence and speed. The Phantom has he done this phantom, though in a slightly different. Considering that the Phantom glides (RR-called “float”) on the road, the Holy door behind her. The car slinks away in a crescendo develops constantly growing.
The Ghost and pampers isolates, but it also flies.

The Chevrolet C6 Corvette platform soldiers on for 2012, though buyers can now look forward to a few subtle changes compared to the 2011 model. The entire 2012 Chevrolet Corvette line now benefits from a slightly massaged interior that includes a new steering wheel and new seats. The thrones pack more supportive bolstering along the sides and microfiber inserts are also available for the first time as well. The reworked tiller features hide-wrapped spokes and what General Motors calls "streamlined" switch trim. Anyone who has spent time in a recent Corvette will know that these interior tweaks are much-needed improvements.

Otherwise, the base 2012 Chevrolet Corvette will remain remarkably untouched. Those who opt up to Z06and ZR1 trims will find a few new changes, however. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Zero Pressure tires are now optional on both the heavy hitters, and the company's engineers say that the new rubber should be good for an eight-percent gain in lateral acceleration and that private testing at Virginia International Racewaydelivered an improvement of three seconds per lap over the standard tire.

The Z06 also gets treated to optional gear like performance traction control, a full-width rear spoiler and a carbon fiber hood. The mighty ZR1, meanwhile, will utilize taller gearing in the fifth and sixth cogs to maximize fuel economy. Something tells us they might just help out on the top-end as well. Hit the jump for the full press blast as well as an introductory video.
